Prof. Dobri Yarkov, DVM, PhD
He completed his secondary education at the First High School "Hristo Botev", Stara Zagora. During the period 1978-1983 he studied Veterinary Medicine at the Higher Institute of Zootechnics and Veterinary Medicine, a precursor of today's Trakia University. After four years of practice as a veterinarian, in 1987 he successfully passed the exam for assistant in genetics and breeding at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In 2000 he obtained the scientific degree Doctor in Genetics, and since 2007 he has been an associate professor at the Department of General Animal Husbandry, Section "Genetics, Breeding and Private Animal Husbandry" at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Trakia University. He has several specializations abroad - in England, Germany, USA. His research interests are related to natural and induced mutagenesis, pharmacogenetics, cytogenetics, introduction of new breeds of animals. He is the author of numerous publications, including in authoritative international scientific journals. He has developed textbooks and teaching aids in the field of genetics and animal selection. He speaks English and Russian. He is a long-term consultant and lecturer supporting Bulgarian breeders. In 2018, Assoc. Prof. Dobry Yarkov also worked as a key expert on agriculture and reviewed reports of the World Bank on the development of the National Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change and Action Plan. He is a member of the Union of Scientists in the Republic of Bulgaria and a number of branch organizations. Assoc. Prof. Dobry Yarkov, DVM, PhD gained his administrative experience as Head of Administrative and Economic Affairs at Trakia University (2004-2007) and as an Assistant Rector of Trakia University (2008-2015). In order to be of maximum use to the university, in 2013 Assoc. Prof. Dobry Yarkov acquired an additional qualification in Financial Management at the University of National and World Economy.

Prof. Eng. Ivan Kralov, PhD, DSc
Rector of Technical University - Sofia Rector of Technical University - Sofia. Head of the laboratory "Vibrations and acoustic noise" at Technical University - Sofia; Chairman of the Technical Sciences Section and Vice-Chairman of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria; Chairman and member of the Organizing and Scientific Committees of several national and international conferences. Prof. Eng. Ivaylo Koprev, PhD
Prof. Eng. Ivaylo Koprev, PhD, DSc graduated UMG "St. Ivan Rilski ”in 2001 the specialty “Mineral Development”. In 2010 he defended his doctoral dissertation in the scientific specialty "Open and underwater mining"; he specialized at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. Since 2014 he has been the head of the Department of Opencast Mining and Blasting. During the period 2012 - 2016 he was Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mining Technology, UMG "St. Ivan Rilski ”, and from 2016 to 2019 he was the Dean of the Faculty. In 2012 he was elected to the academic position of associate professor, and since 2018 he has been the youngest professor in the scientific specialty "Open and Underwater Mining". Author and co-author of monographs, books and textbooks, dozens of publications in specialized international peer-reviewed and indexed scientific journals. He has led and participated in over 86 national and international research and applied research works, projects and programs. He is a chairman of a number of national and international scientific congresses, conferences and committees, a participant in editorial boards of national and international scientific journals, a leader of successfully defended doctoral students, a member of scientific juries.
Zhivko Todorov
Zhivko Veselinov Todorov was born on September 21, 1981 in Stara Zagora. He graduated the Romain Rolland Foreign Language Secondary School with English and German and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”with a degree in European Studies. He has worked as an expert in the preparation and management of projects for European Union grant programs at the Municipality of Stara Zagora and the District Administration of Stara Zagora. He was elected in 2009 as an MP from the 27th Stara Zagora constituency. He was Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the Foreign Policy and Defense Committee of the Bulgarian Parliament. From 2009 to 2011 he was the head of the Permanent Delegation of the National Assembly to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. On October 30, 2011, Zhivko Todorov won the election for Mayor of Stara Zagora municipality, with 67.12% of all votes at the runoff.
Plamen Dimitrov
Plamen Dimitrov has more than 25 years of experience in the world of labour. He has worked for CITUB at all union levels in management positions and has held key positions in the regional structures of the Confederation. He has been President of CITUB since May 2012. Doctor of Economics. He has taken the following positions at a national level: • Chairman of the Executive Committee and the Coordination Council of CITUB; • Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Social Council (ESC) of the Republic of Bulgaria; • Member of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation; • Chairman of the Management Board of the Association "College for Workers' Training"; • Chairman of the Management Board of the NGO "Charitable Fund Prof. Dr. Zhelyazko Hristov, MD." Alexander Zagorov
Alexander Zagorov is the Confederate Secretary of the Podkrepa Labour Confederation, a member of the Economic and Social Council of the Republic of Bulgaria. Participates in boards, specialized dialogue bodies, working groups, commissions and others related to innovation, competitiveness, reindustrialisation, occupational safety and health, environment and social policy. He is a member of the board of EU OSHA / Agency of the European Commission /, participates in European trade union committees on safety and health at work, climate and energy and labour migration. He holds an MSc in Development of minerals (specialization opencast mining) at UMG "St. Ivan Rilski”, Master of Engineering Safety and Master of Political Science.
Eng. Anton Ivanov
Mechanical engineer, graduate of the Department of Heat and Nuclear Energy in Sofia, with over 35 years of experience in the energy sector of Bulgaria, including work at the Technical University, Sofia, as well as in a specialized design organization and project management unit in the field of nuclear and conventional energy . He has experience in developing systematic safety analyses, energy efficiency analyses and renewable energy. He has held senior positions in major state-owned enterprises in the nuclear energy sector as well as in the private sector. In recent years he has been an advisor to the 41st and 43rd National Assembly, the Energy and Monitoring Committee of the EWRC, as well as to the office of the President of CITUB. He is a member of the Board of the Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum. He is the author of a number of publications in the energy sector and has participated in a number of analytical teams in developing plans and strategies for the development of the sector.
Dobri Mitrev
Dobri Mitrev was born on 19 August 1972 in the town of Pernik. Graduate in law, Dobri Mitrev has gained a considerable administrative experience. He chaired the Municipal Council of Pernik for two mandates. Mr. Mitrev joined the Bulgarian Industrial Association in 2012. Since 2018 he acted as a chief secretary, and on 5 December 2018 was elected a member of the Board of Directors of BIA. On 1 September 2021 Mr. Dobri Mitrev was elected a Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIA to replace the late Mr. Radosvet Radev. Since 11 January 2022 Mr. Dobri Mitrev has held the rotating chairmanship of the Association of the Bulgarian Employers’ Organizations (ABEO) for 2022. Married, with two children.

Vasil Velev is a Bulgarian engineer, economist, entrepreneur and public figure, Chairman of the Board of Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) and CEO of Stara Planina Hold PLC. Executive Director of M+S Hydraulic PLC, HES PLC and M+S-97 PLC, Managing Partner of BIC Hold Ltd, Garant 5 Ltd, Velev Invest Ltd, Member of the Board of Directors of Elhim Iskra JSC. He is an elected member of the Council of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, a member of the National Commission on Corporate Governance, a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Economics - Varna, a member of the Board of the Silver Fund, a member of the Monitoring Committee of the Partnership Agreement of the Republic of Bulgaria, a member of the National Economic Council. He has served as Deputy Chairman of the Economic and Social Council and Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, etc. In 2021, he was rotating chairman of the Association of Bulgarian Employers' Organisations. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Technical University of Sofia and Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Evrika Foundation. He has received a number of awards such as the Order of Druzhba, the prize "For Contribution to the Development of Civil Society in Bulgaria", the award "Follower of the National Enlighteners", etc.
