Municipality of Radnevo

Radnevo Municipality ranks among the first municipalities in the country in terms of socio-economic development, measured by GDP per capita. The comparisons in the district plan show that the municipality of Radnevo is in second place in terms of net revenues in the district of Stara Zagora and is a major producer of lignite and an important producer of electricity.

Galabovo Municipality

The main mineral resource available to the municipality is lignite coal, which is the basis of coal mining and electricity generation. They are part of the East Maritsa coal basin / area of about 200 sq. km, about 2.6 billion tonnes, located in a 30 m thick layer; representing 57% of the coal reserves of Bulgaria / located on the territory of the municipalities of Radnevo and Galabovo. The territories for extraction of fossil fuels occupy 17.6% of the total area of Galabovo Municipality.

Municipality of Nova Zagora

The Municipality of Nova Zagora with its natural potential, socio-economic parameters and educational structure is characterized as relatively well developed in terms of economy and infrastructure and ranks second in the district after the Municipality of Sliven.
