"Science and Innovation Days. Clean Energy, Status and Prospects" - 3 and 4 June 2022



This was announced by Prof. Dr. Daria Vladikova during the Days of Science and Innovation. Clean Energy, Status and Prospects", which took place on 3 and 4 June in Stara Zagora. They were also attended by Maria Gabriel - European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Deputy Minister of Energy Plamen Danailov, MPs, representatives of the municipality and business, as well as Bart Biebik, CEO of the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Venture. Among the speakers were several representatives of the Institute for Sustainable Transition and Development. 
During the first day, papers and scientific presentations were given on advances in science, practice and business in the use and application of renewable energy, hydrogen technology, transport and manufacturing. One of the lecturers was Mr. Julian Popov, member of the Management Board of IURP, with a report on "The transition in the Maritza-East complex based on the available assets".
During the discussion meeting on 4 June, Prof. Dr. Daria Vladikova, Head of Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Systems, publicly announced the membership of the Institute for Sustainable Transition and Development at the University of Thrace, in the Hydrogen Europe Reserch. She explained that this is the second Bulgarian organization admitted besides BAS. Prof. Vladikova also presented a paper on "Opportunities for education, qualification and re-qualification", in which intentions to implement a new project in a Master's programme were revealed. 
Mr. Rumen Radev, member of the Board of the IUPD and Holding Zagora, and Mr. Georgi Simeonov from the Municipality of Stara Zagora presented a joint project between the municipality and the business.
